Ferd Klassen
Ferd Klassen has been a dedicated professional in the collision repair industry since 1988, when he began his career as a collision technician at Niverville Autobody. Over the years, he transitioned into a combination technician role and joined the management team in 1996. In 2008, Ferd took the reins of the business by purchasing the shop from its previous owner, continuing to lead with integrity and expertise.
Driven by a strong sense of community and a passion for giving back, Ferd joined the ATA Board in 2015 , where he has served in various sub-committees and leadership roles. He currently holds the position of ATA President, continuing to advocate for excellence and collaboration within the industry.
Outside of work, Ferd is a proud husband and father to three daughters. He embraces his roles as a horse dad, dance dad, and ringette dad, cherishing every moment spent supporting his girls in their activities. His commitment to community extends beyond family life—he currently serves as Vice President of the local Ringette Board and as a Director on the local Chamber of Commerce.
Ferd also dedicated 26 years to Emergency Services with the local Fire Department, including 17 years as Fire Chief. His credentials include Level 1 and 2 Firefighting, Vehicle Extrication, Level 1 and 2 Fire Investigation, Emergency Services Instructor Levels 1 and 2, and a Medical Responder License from the Province of Manitoba. He taught at the Brandon Emergency Services College and trained firefighters across Southeast Manitoba. Ferd also served for 18 years as a Director on the Eastman Mutual Aid District Board, including six years as Training Coordinator for 17 rural fire departments. He retired from Emergency Services in 2014

Trevor Kindrat
VICE PRESIDENT
Trevor Kindrat began his career in the collision repair industry while attending Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School in Brandon, Manitoba. During high school, he gained hands-on experience working summer jobs at local repair shops. After graduation, Trevor entered the apprenticeship program, eventually earning his Red Seal certification as a journeyman in Paint and Body Repair.
He started his professional career as a technician at a dealership in Brandon, where his skills and leadership led to promotion to shop manager. In 2006, Trevor became the managing partner of Advance Autobody and Glass, where he continues to apply his extensive industry knowledge and dedication to quality service.
In the spring of 2019, Trevor joined the Automotive Trades Association (ATA) as a director. Since then, he has served in various leadership roles, including Rural Vice President, and currently holds the position of Vice President, actively contributing to the advancement of the collision repair industry in Manitoba.
Away from work, Trevor enjoys spending time with his wife Charlotte and son Colton at the cabin or touring western campgrounds, as well as supporting his son’s passion for hockey and lacrosse. In his downtime, Trevor loves to explore the open road on motorcycle trips or enjoy snowmobiling when the opportunity arises amongst time at the rink.
Denis Cloutier
Denis Cloutier has dedicated 31 years to PPG Canada, serving in a variety of roles—including two decades as a territory manager in the auto refinish division. During that time, he built enduring relationships with collision repair shops across Manitoba, earning the trust and respect of industry professionals throughout the province.
Following his retirement, Denis saw a natural opportunity to continue supporting the industry he knows so well by joining the Automotive Trades Association (ATA) as Executive Director. His deep-rooted connections and passion for progress made the role a perfect fit.
Known for his sharp insight and approachable leadership style, Denis thrives on solving challenges and setting new standards for Manitoba’s collision repair sector. His commitment to innovation and collaboration continues to shape the future of the industry.
Outside of work, Denis enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, and spending cherished time at the lake with his wife, Sherry, children and grandchildren.

Renée Sicotte
Renée Sicotte has been in the collision repair industry for over 25 years, serving as Managing Partner of Marion Auto Body and Glass.
Renée is deeply involved in shaping the industry's future through her active participation on numerous committees. She currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the Automotive Trades Association of Manitoba, Director for the Motor Vehicle Industry of Manitoba, and is a proud Founder of Manitoba R.O.W.C. (Resource Organization for Women in Collision). She also plays an active role on the WIN (Women’s Industry Network) Canadian Task Force, working to connect and empower women across the industry.
In March 2025, Renée was named “Most Influential Woman” for the collision repair industry across North America.
Her passion for industry-wide collaboration and volunteerism has built meaningful connections with government officials, industry leaders, and tradespeople alike. Renée brings a keen understanding of the challenges women face in collision repair, and through her experience and advocacy, it provides her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in this ever-evolving industry.
During her spare time, she enjoys golfing, bowling, baking and spending time with family and friends at the family cottage in Bird River.

Norm Bruneau
Norm Bruneau is a proud farm kid born and raised in St. Claude, Manitoba. His journey in the collision repair industry began early—at just 14 years old, when he started working at St. Claude Autobody in 1997. Driven by passion and dedication, Norm purchased the business in 2006 and operated it solo for several years. Today, he runs the shop alongside his wife Monique, and together they’ve grown it into a thriving operation with 15 full-time staff working out of a modern facility built in 2015.
Norm’s commitment to the industry extends beyond his own shop. Since 2016, he has been an active volunteer with the Automotive Trades Association (ATA), serving in various leadership roles including board member, vice president, president, and currently as past president. He is deeply invested in supporting collision repair shops and helping address the challenges facing the industry.
He played a key role in introducing innovative tools like the Estimate Scrubber and ImEX RPS to Manitoba and now works with both companies to continue driving progress and efficiency in the field.
Outside of work, Norm enjoys attending car shows, shooting sports, camping with his family, and proudly being a hockey dad to his two daughters. He brings a practical, problem-solving mindset to everything he does and values collaboration as a way to move the industry forward.

Johnny Vernaus
Johnny Vernaus is a respected leader in the collision repair industry, with a career spanning over four decades as President of Vernaus Auto Body. His expertise and commitment to excellence have earned him widespread recognition within the sector.
A dedicated professional, Johnny has held various leadership roles in the Automotive Trades Association (ATA), including Director, Vice President, and President. In addition to his industry expertise, Johnny showcases his entrepreneurial acumen through his ventures in King John Boxing Promotions and real estate.
Outside of work, Johnny enjoys exploring new destinations with his wife, Lynn, and their family, often escaping Winnipeg's winters for warmer climates.

Chad Brick
Chad Brick is the President and one of the active owners of Eastside Collision Repairs; he joined in 2008 after starting his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. A graduate of the University of Manitoba’s B. Comm Hons program and a Chartered Accountant, Chad has focused on building strong teams and fostering steady, sustainable growth at Eastside.
Chad is also active in his community and industry, serving on boards including the Automotive Trade Association, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, The Composite Network and in the past the Manitoba Children’s Museum, and the Composite Innovation Centre. He values collaboration, long-term relationships, and being a part of the entrepreneur community. Away from work, Chad enjoys time with his wife, Laura, and their children, Claire and Danny—whether at the hockey rink in winter or the family cabin in summer.

Jesse Loewen
Jesse Loewen has been a part of the collision repair industry for over 25 years, starting at just 12 years old by answering phones and entering claims for his dad. As the co-owner of Loewen Body Shop LTD in Steinbach, Manitoba, he is proud to represent the fourth generation of his family's business, which was founded by his great-grandfather in 1937.
With over two decades of experience, Jesse brings a deep, family-rooted understanding of the industry to his role as a Director on the Automotive Trades Association of Manitoba board. His passion lies in ensuring the sustainability and success of the automotive trades, carrying forward the legacy of his family's long-standing commitment to quality and service.
Beyond his work, Jesse is dedicated to his community and family. He spent 18 years as a volunteer firefighter, and he enjoys golfing, travelling, and spending time with his two children. As a lifelong fan, he also loves to cheer on the Chicago Cubs.

Trista Klyne
Trista Klyne brings over 20 years of experience in the collision repair industry and currently serves as Market Manager at Boyd Autobody & Glass in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she oversees seven repair facilities. Starting her career as an entry-level Customer Service Representative, Trista has steadily risen through the ranks, demonstrating consistent leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for team development.
Throughout her career with Boyd, Trista’s outstanding contributions have been recognized at a national level—she was named a WOWStar in 2015, and most recently, was honored as Top Market Manager in Canada for 2024.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Trista is involved in advancing the future of the automotive trades. She currently serves as a Director for the Automotive Trades Association of Manitoba, is a proud member of Manitoba R.O.W.C. (Resource Organization for Women in Collision), and is also a member of WIN (Women’s Industry Network). Through these roles, she advocates for increased representation, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for women in the industry.
Outside of work, Trista enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, embracing a well-balanced life that reflects her commitment to both personal and professional growth.

George Semchuk has been part of the collision repair industry for five years and currently serves as Operations Manager at J-Max Collision and Glass.
After earning his CPA designation in 2020, George transitioned into the automotive sector where he uses his financial expertise to add value and contribute to continuous improvement in his collision repair community as a newly appointed director of the ATA.
Outside of the collision repair world, he enjoys playing music, golfing, winter sports, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Brett MacNeil
Brett MacNeil has been in the collision repair industry for 19 years working as a Senior Account Executive for 3M.
Brett is involved in the industry as a director and Associate Member of the ATA, Associate Advisory Council and associate member of the MMDA, Associate Member SAAR. Brett supplies 3M products for the Skills Canada, Skills Manitoba and Skills Saskatchewan competitions and participates as a product specialist. Brett coordinates 3M training programs for the 3M Skills Development Center in St Paul MN and has provided training scholarships to the ATA, SAAR and MVIM.
Brett coached the offensive line for the Manitoba Bisons for 7 years and won the 2007 Vanier Cup. Brett also coached for the Blue Bombers, Rifles and Oak Park.
Brett was a CFL 1st round pick by the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1991 and played 10 years for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Brett was inducted into the Winnipeg Football Club Hall of Fame in 2006.
Brett is a Director and Past President of the CFL Alumni Association and is a director for the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni Association.

Devin Catton – President & CEO, Catton Enterprises Ltd.
With over two decades of hands-on experience in the automotive aftermarket, Devin Catton is the third -generation managing partner of Catton Enterprises Ltd., a proudly family-owned and operated autobody supply company that has been serving the industry for more than 56 years. Under Devin’s leadership, Catton Enterprises has grown significantly, expanding product offerings, deepening supplier relationships, and adapting to the evolving needs of repair shops and collision centers across Manitoba.
Devin is known for his practical approach, industry knowledge, and commitment to quality service.
Passionate about supporting local trades, Devin is a strong advocate for training, innovation, and professionalism within the collision repair industry. Through his involvement with the Automotive Trades Association, he aims to contribute to the continued growth, collaboration, and advocacy needed to keep the trade thriving in a competitive and rapidly changing market

Tana Carpenter
Tana Carpenter With over 32 years of experience in the auto glass industry, Tana Carpenter began her career at Speedy Glass answering phones at one of the company’s local shops. Today, Tana serves as the Insurance Manager for British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Over the years, Tana has developed deep industry expertise, built strong relationships, and played a key role in shaping efficient, customer-focused insurance processes across Western Canada.
Outside of work, Tana loves to travel and cherishes spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, and two wonderful grandsons. Family adventures and quality time with loved ones are at the heart of what brings Tana joy.

Shangri-la Abubo-Humes
With over 20 years of experience at Eastside Collision Repairs, I began my career in parts before moving into production management. In 2025, I advanced to Operations Manager of Eastside Moray Collision & Glass and Eastside Fawcett Collision & Glass, where I continue to oversee operations and team growth.
I hold a Certificate in Financial and Managerial Accounting and am currently working towards my C.I.M. Designation in Management. Beyond my role at Eastside, I service as Executive Assistant of the Manitoba Commercial Vehicle Repair Association, minute taker for the Automotive Trade Association of Manitoba’s Executive Committee and am one of the founding members of the Manitoba Resource Organization for Women in Collision. I also contribute nationally as a WIN ( Women’s Industry Network) Canadian Task Force member and just joined the scholarship selection committee with the Motor Vehicle Industry of Manitoba (MVIM). I also sit as an industry advisor to Manitoba Public Insurance’s Technical & Parts Committee.
